The cover plate pictured replaces the original cover plate on the TR2-3A steering box. The adjusting screw has been replaced with a spring loaded piston and screw arrangement. This modification allows the correct pressure to be excerted on the rocker shaft assembly irrespective of the position of the steering wheel hence reducing steering wheel play and preventing unnecesary damage to the steeering components.
